Based on current weather data for the next 24 hours, a decision has been made to extend the cancellation of in-person classes at all Prairie Rose schools (with the exception of Coulee Collegiate, Bow Island Elementary School*, Senator Gershaw School* and Burdett School*) for Wednesday, February 10th. As morning temperatures are expected to be below -40 with the wind chill, bus travel and walking to school becomes unsafe for students. Learning from home will continue tomorrow for students in grades 1-12. Teachers have been asked to connect with their students regarding instruction and learning expectations.
As the temperature is expected to remain cold this week, weather information will be reviewed daily and decisions made accordingly. Please contact your school or site supervisor if you have any questions.
